White

Good Morning all, its Saturday already and the weather is turning, its cold, the leaves are changing and falling off, which is a nightmare because the way our street is when the wind picks them up they all land in my garden......

Anyway its a perfect excuse to stay in and craft, over on PCP all things Sugar Nellie, this week I challenged the girls with WHITE, as i keep seing some fantastic cards all in white, I love them, so I thought this would be an ideal chance for me and the other fab girls to give it a bash, so this is what I have played with this week............

Used to make this card -

Image - Daisy from Sugar Nellie (Currently unavailable)
Coloured with - Promarkers
Sentiment - Stampin Up, stamped in Brocade Blue also from Stamping Up
Flowers - Wild Orchid (of course, who else could it be)

Also used Cuttlebug, an embossing folder, Martha Stewart leaf punch and a couple of buttons from my stash.

As you can see its WHITE and its pretty simple, think I may just have to make a batch of these and that'll use up some of the images I've precoloured.

The fantastic new Simply Sassy images are NOW available to preorder over at FUNKY KITS, and I for one can't wait to get mine and get them all inky.

Right off to dear with the boys, Adams been in with me all night, he's had a bad one, he has a temp and a really sore throat, so am guessing theres no football training for him today, it'll be a sofa day with DVD's and hopefully he'll manage some tea at my mums.

Good luck everyone and hope you all have a great Saturday xx

Thanks for Looking

Stamping For The Weekend

Morning crafters, it's Friday again already, which means its time for another challenge from STAMPING FOR THE WEEKEND design team.

This week we were challenges to TAG IT, which at first I wasn't sure how I was going to get round this one, but after a couple of binned cards, I finally settled on this card......

Used to make this card

Image - Meljan Designs Digi Image
Coloured - Promarkers
DP - Bo Bunny
Sentiment - Hobby art
Also used a border punch, woodware butterfly punch and an L-em leave punch, a little bling and a touch of glitter dust to finish the butterflys.
I quilled a few strips to paper to make the flowers and to add some dimesion to the card, the leaves have been shaped and the butterflys have been teased and squeezed to allow the wings to add a little more dimension too.
.
This week we are sponsored by MELJAN DESIGNS, who kindly gave the design team all images to play with, and we have tried to ensure a wide variety where used to inspire you this week, so make sure you pop over HERE and have a look.
Meljan Designs are currently only available through WHIMSY STAMPS, but unfortunatley they are currently experiencing technical issues with their website, this will not affect the winner receiveing their prize.

Anyway thats all for today, thanks for taking the time out to have a look and please pop over to Stamping for the weekend and join the fun.

Day 6, and counting, how long will it last??

Day 6, how much longer do you think this will last, better get some more cards made or I'll have run out LOL

Todays card, isn't really my card, Yes I did make it but I didn't really design it, it's one of the cards us Aberdeenshire girls got to make on the Sugar Nellie on Tour day back in August.

The day was fantastic, everyone seemed to have a blast, loads of creative juices were flowing that day (despite the fact I'd been at a wedding the day before).

Todays card was one of the cards designed by the fantastical talented KATE, who works in the House of Sugar up in Elgin

,

I love this card design and keep your eyes peelied because I know it'll appear again soon(ish)

Used to make this card
Stamp - Daisy, of course from SUGAR NELLIE
Coloured with - Promarkers
DP - Ella Blue from GCD Studios (FAB PAPER)

Cardstock, a little bling, a few punches and nesties, and a set of tweezers, yes tweezers.

The tweezers in case you are wondering are because Kate saw a tutorial on line on how to make your own flowers, and she had us all make our own twisted flowers and I have to say simple and effective, and I have used this style of flower again on several occasions, even though my first couple went in the bin, because when I took them off my tweezers they ended up looking a ringlets you would put in long hair (LOL)
Anyway I would just like to say a HUGE thankyou to Karen, Kate and Erica for the fun filled day we all shared together, we had a blast and we had some YUMMY cupcakes of course, couldn't have a SUGAR NELLIE day without a little sugar.

Believe me these cupcakes where mmmmmmmm, all pink and glitter covered too, and yes they were meant to have glitter on them.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read my waffle, hope you like Kates card idea, I did.

Hugs,

5th Day in a row, mmmmm

Oh me, day 5 and we seem to be on a roll.....

Yesterday I gave in and ordered tickets for all 4 of us to go see the X factor tour 2011 when it comes in March, so heres hoping the finalists this year I like, although in saying that I have taken Adam every year for the last 3 years and he's loved it, and Conner is now old enough and always complains that he never gets to see anything so he'll get to come too, fingers crossed he likes it........Adam is excited already about going, and also the fact I've got tickets for us to go and see his favourite boy band JLS in November, followed by the pantomine in December, so fingers crossed he likes it.

Anyway, had a hard time trying to decide which card I should share with you today,

Tough decison should it be Christmas or Not Christmas......

Well then how about this one...................

I love this image, its an oldie but a goodie, it's certainly one of my favourites and will be getting used a lot this christmas for little boys cards
.

Receipe used in making this card

Stamp - Hamish with Sledge from SUGAR NELLIE
Coloured - Promarkers
Sentiment - Stampin up
DP - My Minds Eye

Also used a little Polar White flowersoft and a little glamour dust, so make the snow look like snow. LOL.

A simple but effective card I think.

Anyway thats it for today, i've waffled on long enough, I hope you like it.

Take Care

Day 4, oh me this is getting a habit

LOL, yes indeed a habit , I can truly say I am glad I have finally got back into the swing off, went out with Linda last night and we had a good old giggle, and made a couple of fab cards under Yvonnes trusty tutition, I will share them later this week.
Todays card, will shock you, its not christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!, its a just because I could card, no challenge, no body in mind, just sat playing and came up with this card.................which I have now turned into the new weekly challenge for this week over at Paper Craft Planet, we want to see you create your own background so come join us in the fun and if you are lucky enough to win this week, you can choose any 3 Sugar Nellie Images from Funky Kits.

Was in a blue zone, if you couldn't guess, lol, When these mangas were released a few weeks back I just adored this image and it had to be inked up straight away, the first attempt is in the trash as I just wasn't happy with it at all, although everyone else said it was fine, but I am sure you know where I am coming from.

This fairy is just the cutest yet, thanks Karen I love these Mangas loads and loads xxxxx
Stash used to make this card

Coloured with - Promarkers
Background Swirl stamp - Dot Flourishes Collection from Hero Arts
Ink Used - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Flowers - Wild Orchid (of course who else could it be)
And a little bit of bling and sparkle just to finish off.

I saw that SARAH had used the dotty technique for creating backgrounds to her stamped images, so have had a bash on this card, and I quite like it, thanks SARAH for sharing xxx
If anyone wants to join us at Papercraft Planet but isn't a member they can always email me their card or creation and I'll happily add it and enter you into the draw for the chance to win thre images of your choice from Funky Kits.
You can email me on fionajstewart@tiscali.co.uk

Anyway better dash,

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Coloured with - Promarkers
DP - an old stack I've had for a couple of years, can't remember the name of it.

BACK AGAIN, Are you impressed lol

Ok, I am trying to schedule this post for tomorrow (well today, ok Sunday 5th September, but usualy always manage to get it wrong, so fingers crossed this works),.

Right I wonder where my blogging will lead me today with my card to share, mmmmmm let me see, Ok, I'm Heading over to Sugar Nellies Sugar Bowl, as Gayle is currently looking for some lovely new sweeties to join her DT, and the shout is gong out now and is still open so you've all been told about and you have no excuses for not taking part over HERE

Anyway I've had a bash, and i've flipped the sketch just because it worked better for what I wanted, but you can still see the basics are there, (well I hope you can), heres what I come up with...............................

I have to say I am loving these new Christmas mangas, which are available NOW over HERE at Funky Kits, you just have to go get them and add them to your collection.

Ingredients used to make this card

Stamp - Miss Elf from Sugar Nellie

Coloured with - Promarkers

DP - Christmas Glitter Stack by DCWV

Sentiment - Stampin Up

Anyways I think thats about it, apart from say, if you're not in it, you can't win it, and nothing ventured nothing gained, and if nothing else in my case its another christmas card off the list of many I still need to make.

So once again dear friends,

Thanks for looking

Oh where shall I start

Ok then I am back, and where do I start, I have no idea, I have been busy beavering away quietly over the summer holidays and have a selection of cards ready to share with you all now, we are still running the weekly SUGAR NELLIE challenges over at Paper Craft Planet, and would love to see some of you come and join us to be in with the chance of winning some Rubber from Funky Kits.

So I guess I'll start there, this week I wanted to see my crafty girls use PINK, and they are busy as we speak coming up with some fab creations, and this is the card I made that inspired me with the PINK theme.

I loved this image the minute I saw it, and just couldn't wait to get it coloured in, this I have to admit is maybe my 3rd or 4th attempt, as I wasn't just happy with the others, this one I do like, I've kept the embellishments simple as I really want the image to be the main focus, (this is so not like me), but I think it works this time.
Ingredients used to make this card -
Stamp - Entangled by kathy Hare from Sugar Nellie
Coloured with - Promarkers
DP - Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Collection
Sentiments and Flower Stamps - Heidi Graces Wild Daisy Collection
All other bits n pieces from craft stash.
Anyway thats it for today, off to try and schudule tomorrows post, wish me luck, I usually need it.
