SUGAR NELLIE on FACEBOOK - BUTTERFLIES

Good Afternoon and Happy Easter to you all, I hope the Easter Bunny left lots of treats for you all this morning, my two slept in this morning, so they not yet founf all the eggs hidden round the house/garden but I am sure it ain't going totake them long to sniff them all out, hahahaha.
Anyway Sunday means its a new challenge at SUGAR NELLIE ON FACEBOOK, and this week I was inspired by the fabby new stamp PIGTAILS AND BUTTERFLIES, so I bet you've guessed this week theme, it is

"BUTTERFLIES"

Heres my card for this week ....

Used to make this Butterfly Card ...

Image - Pigtails and Butterflies from SUGAR NELLIE
Coloured with - Promarkers and Copics
DP - Tim Holz
Pink card - DCWV
Ribbon from my stash
Butterflies - 2 different size woodware puncges
Stickles

I have to admit I think this is one of the best from Krista yet, but then I say that about every one of them when I ink it up, hahaha, anyway the rules are simples, you must use a SUGAR NELLIE image on your creation (any stamp you want does not have to be a Sassy can be any from the wide range that SUGAR NELLIE have brought to us addicts over the years) and your creation this week must have a butterfly on it, its up to you how you use your butterflies, but I want to see them fluttering away girls.

I didn't go over the top with papers on this one and have gone pink and girlie this week, and I promise you all I am not a pink and girlie girl, but I have to admit to fallen for the Tim Holtz paper stack and have been using it a lot recently.

Anyway the sun is a shining and I am off to get some of the dreaded housework out the way before taking the boys out for a walk later today might even remember to take my camera with me this week and get some fab sunny snaps of the boys.

Anyway challenge is now open until 12 (noon) GMT on Sunday 1st May, if you qant to join and aren't on facebook just leave me a comment and I'll send you my email so you to can be in with the chance of adding a SUGAR NELLIE of your choice to your collection.

Thanks for Looking

Sundays with Santa - Monochrome

Oh me it's Saturday already, and the it;s Easter weekend, and the weather is suppose to be hot, hot, hot today, so fingers crossed they've got it right, although I do believe its meant to change back again to normal April weather next week, never mind theres nothing we can do about it so we'll just have to get on with it.
A couple of weeks ago our little group (Sundays with Santa) set the weekly challenge as MONOCHROME, well I have finally got round to making my card, as this was the week we were away and I am slowly catching up with my cards etc, so this is my MONOCHROME card.

I have tried to keep it simpe as I think this CLARITY stamp set really doesn't need anything more.

Used to make this card

Tree Stamp - Clarity Stamps
Sentiment - Clarity Stamps
Cardstock - Paperterie
Ink - Memento Bamboo Leaves
And a lirrle stickles to make the trees sparkle

And thats it, it is a larger card on an 8" sqaure base, so think I'm going to head off and make another few of these now as well

Thanks

I went rummaging through my stash of papers, boy I have so many boxes full of papers, some of which I had totally forgotten about, including the ones I've used in this card......

Less Is More - Use Acetate

Girls, firstly a huge SORRY, since we went away for a few days I have not been able to get back into a routine before now, but I have found some time to play this week and I had to join in the fun over at LESS IS MORE this week, although when I saw what they wanted us to do I was like "OH NO", but not to be put off I had a bash and came up with this......
Yes, Chrissie and Mandi asked us to use some acetate, at first I couldn't find my box of acetate anywhere, so after a dash to the shops to get some, I played and tried several different ideas but am quite happy with the final card.  I embossed an oval using my nestabilites and using my Paula Pascal stamps I stamped into the centre of the oval and then finished off with a couple of snowflakes, then to finish it off added some bling to the centres of the snowflakes. A very simple card but I think it is quite effective.

Anyway if you've not yet joined in the fun over at LESS IS MORE, maybe this could be your week.

Anyway thanks for looking.

SUGAR NELLIE

WOW, what fantastic weather we had in the Scotland this weekend, and well did we ever pick the right weekend to head off with the boys, its was glorious, sunny and hot, the car was reading 25 degrees yesterday in Central Scotland, Errol and COnner have a nice brown tan, me and poor wee Adam are like cooked Lobsters PINK, we thought April in Scotland so no way would we need the sun lotion but after 3 whole days outside, we are looking a little worse for wear, but hey we had a fantasic time, and I am sure I'll be back with a piccie or two through out the week.

I thought I was organised and posted a schelduled posting to Mr Blogger for Sugar Nellie in Facebooks new challenge, but it seems to have disappeared into thin air, and I no longer have the card I made for the challenge, so will have to use that as my excuse to make another sample this week, anyway, we have a fantastic little community growing larger and larger by the day over HERE so if you've not done so already come on over and join us

Anyway I've just updated the facebook page and the new challenge for this week can be found HERE, its Stawberry Pavlova, mmmm yummy. I looked at the picture and went with the colours in my card, and after all who doesn't love stawberries and cream xxx

Also  I hope you've been readinf the blog, as Karen has posted spreviews of the new adorables that are to be released very soon and theres a couple of tags for you to pick and and share.

Sundays With Santa - Do Vintage arrggh I can't do vintage

Oh me,
Another challenge over at Sundays with Santa, and this week our very own Gayle choose to set us

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS...

Well I for one struggle with Vintage Christmas, as its not something I find easy, but not to be beaten I have given it a bash and came up with this card....

Used to a make this card.

Images - all from Vintage Christmas from Creative Expressions (Sheena Douglas)
Stamped and coloured with - Vintage Photo Distress Ink
A little bit of stickles for the frosty sparkle on the snow.
Cardstock - From the Paperterie.

Well its another card of the list, not 100% sure about it, but I have given it a bash, and produced a card, think a bit more practice with the distress ink is required though, I am slowly improving with Distrss Inks, just need a bit more time to practise and I'll get there in the end I guess.

Thanks for looking

Less is More wk 9

Good Morning girls, Tuesday already and the kids up here are off on Easter holidays, having a quiet day today and got to finish packing bags as we're off down south with the kids for a few days, got to leave some shopping in the fridge as my brother in law is coming to stay and feed the pets, ah well as long as theres cat food I am guessing my BIL will survive hahaha.

Today I am sharing my Less is More card with you, Chrissie and Mandi are doing a stunning job with their new challenge blog, can't believe it's only been running for 9 weeks, they have so many talented entries every week, and a real community spirit is growing over there.

This week the girls set us the challenge of "A Touch Of Red"

Red use to be a colour I always stayed clear off but lately I have had a change of mind, and have fallen for red in a big style, as you will notice if you read back my blog theres a lot of red popping up. Anyway heres my card for this week.....

Used to make this card...

Image - Delicate blooms from Hero Arts
Sentiment - Hobby Arts
DP - Vintage Family stack from Simply Create
Moss Promarker

I have to fess up to owning these stamps for months and this is the first time they've ink, I know its naughty but at least now they've been inked several times to create the depth in the flowers, I love this set and have seen it used lots on other talented peoples blogs, and  I have to say I am quite pleased with the finished card.

The photo above I think shows how the depth has been acheived by stamping and layering the blooms on the poppies several times and layering them using pinflair glue.

Well that my Touch of Red and Less is More this week.

Thanks for looking, I hope you like it

Sugar Nellie wk 10 - Its WOW Cards

If you live in the UK, then let me take this chance to say HAPPY MOTHERTS DAY to each and every one of you out there, I hope you have all been treated like a Queen today and been spoilt totally, My two are away with Nannie for the weekend, so Mothers Day has been a quiet crafty day, and we'll have cards and pressie tomorrow when they get home.

So with the boys being off for the weekend its given me a chance to catch up with some crafting and I've loved every minute of it, a few cards done but the list of ones I need done still seems to keep on growing, I guess thats the joy of coming from a large family and having two young kids who seem to be invited to every party thats happening.

Todays card though was just for fun, and the new challenge for you all to try over at SUGAR NELLIE ON FACEBOOK, if you're one of the thousands of sugar addicts then you will know that our very own Karen is a huge fan of White on White cards, so this week lets see what you can all come up with for WHITE ON WHITE, as usual you can use any Sugar Nellie image from any range you want to use, I am a huge fan of the Sassy images at the moment, but let me just say you are all going to love set 6 when its released in a few weeks time, these images from Krista just seem to get better and better.

So heres my White on White card for this weeks challenge.....

Used to make this card

Coloured with - Promarkers
Sentiment - Paula Pascal (she has a couple of new sets about to hit the shops)
Stickles and a bling dot
EK Success daisy punch - small
Fiskers Border Punch
Cuttlebug and embossing folders.

I love this imge, not entirely happy with her hair colouring, but practise will improve that I'm sure, I went for the red as I thought againist the pure white it would really pop out and I think you'll agree she really stands out well, I added stickles for the stardust and of course that little bit of sparkle, that all us girls love.

Anyway off to try and schedule another couple of posts for later in the week.
