Did you see the blog hop yesterday for set 5 of Simply Sassy, WOW girls you did a truly awesome job.

Anyway I guess I should share with you the next challenge which runs from now until 12.00(GMT) on Sunday 6th March, where if you are choosen at random you can choose any Sugar Nellie image of your choice to add to your collection, only rule as usual is that you must use a SUGAR NELLIE image on your card........................

So this week while browsing the internet for a inspiration challenge my youngest came and asked for a bowl of ice cream, so this is where this weeks inspiration came from

Yes Girls, a large bowl of Mint Choc Chip inspired me this week, and heres the card I came up with ........

I have to admit that this poor stamp has been left uninked for too long, so after a search for papers I thought it was her time to shine.....

Used to make this cutie were

Image - Bella Bunting from Sugar Nellie/Funky Kits
Coloured with - Promarkers
DP - My Minds Eye
Sentiment - Personnal Impression
Roses - WOC
Martha Stewart Leaf punch and border punch

Well I hope you all pop over and join in this week, it could be your lucky week....

Less Is More - Week 3

Good Morning, Tuesday for me means its time to join the fun at Less Is More challenge, I so use to struggle with these types of card, but slowly it is getting easier, and I do mean slowly.....

This week we were given the theme of Spring, well I love spring and I love seeing all the green buds on the trees and the leaves of the plants are beginning to grow back, the only down side is we need to start thinking about getting the lawn mower out, if someone could invent grass that stays lovely and green all year round and doesn't need cut it would be greatly appreciated in this household. LOL.

Anyway heres my take on Spring.............

Used to make this card were

Stamps - A little bit sketchy 2 from Sheena Douglas
Coloured with - Promarkers

That really is it, apart from a small green mount and some faux stitching around the edge, its really that simple for me today.

Although I did struggle with this one, and the Snowdrop card (above) wasn't my first make for this challenge, I had planned to use the Crocus stamp that comes in the same set, but wasn't 100% sure about, so will share it here for you, and see what you think.....

Again the stamp and the sentiment come from the same set as the snowdrops, but for my eye it just wasn't the way I wanted it to be. Used a little bit of stickles to highlight the buds/flowers a little bit here as well.

Anyway I value your opinion, so please let me know what you think, no offence will be taken honest, well unless your another of the muskateers of course. HaHaHa.

A little bit of homework

On Mondays I go to the local card group, theres about 12 - 15 of us, friendly group lead by the talented Yvonne Still, and last Monday she had invited the Super Debbi over to give us all a lesson in colouring with our promarkers, so she set us all homework to go home and make something using the knowledge that we had learnt from Debbi, so this is my attempt for homework this week...........

Image - Troublemaker from Kenny K(Rubber stamp available from Quixotic Papertrie)
Coloured with - Promarkers
Sentiment - Hero Arts
Nestabilites, Martha Stewart Border Punch, and leaf punch, and EK success flower punches.

I choose to keep it reasonably simple and let the image pop out and be the main focus, and couldn't resisit a flower or two at the end.

Anyway heres a piccie of the girls totally absorbed into Debbis lesson.

SUGAR NELLIE ON FACEBOOK - WEEK 3 ALREADY

Good Afternoon, hope you've had a great weekend, we've had a nice quiet one as the boys are off to nannies until Monday afternoon, so had feet up, relaxing and crafting, its been nice but at the same time so strange also, anyway its given me a chance to clear my crafty desk and post some cards onto my blog, starting with this weeks new challenge on FACEBOOK for SUGAR NELLIE, this week I have gone nice and easy and asked the girls to create an easel card, any shape, any colour, any style, just the one condition it must contain a Sugar Nellie Image, so as usual to hopefully inspire and push some of you in the right direction I've created this one....

Image - Fashionista, a Simply Sassy from SUGAR NELLIE
Coloured with - Promarkers and a little bit of prismas
DP - Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby (loving this stack right now)
Sentiment - Computer generated
Flowers made with the EK success punches
Leaves - L-em Punch
And to finish a bit of bling in the centres of the flowers.

There are many different shapes and styles to easel cards now, and I ove the traditional square type ones, but this time i have gone with the twisted easel card, after seeing the card Marlene did a week or so ago, thought it was time I gace this style a bash, and actually I quite like it, so thanks Mrlene for the push in the right direction.

Anyway thats me for just now, off to try and schedule a few more posts for through the week.

Background Trees Stamp - Stamping Up
Merry Christmas Stamp - Personnal Impression

Name was cut using a Sizzlet set,
And to finish a bit of sparkle with my good old Stickles

Well am happy to say I am enjoying the christmas cards still and may have a bash at another couple with week,

Sundays With Santa

Morning Girls,

Todays card I am sharing with you all was my creation for the facebook group called Sundays with Santa, the aim of which is to save us all running round like headless chickens in October and November trying to batch make all our cards, so far so good for me, and am still actually quite liking the fact that I am making christmas cards in January (fingers crossed I can keep it up).

Anyway this week the ubber talented Ali set the theme of White Christmas, which if you know Ali will come as no surprise what so ever as she really is the Queen of WOW cards.
So what does white christmas mean to me, well you can't have a white chrsitmas without some of the dreaded white stuff that in December brought the UK to a standstill, yes girls you all know what i mean, SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this is my White Christmas card

Used to make my card

Image - Snow Cosy from Sugar Nellie
Coloured with - Promarkers
Sentiment - Paula Pascal from Personnal Impressions
Cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder
Snowflake punch from woodware and some bling and stickles.

Right then off to prep a few more cards and see how things roll this week

Hugs
