Ok then girls, its Friday again, and today was a fab day, went on a road trip with a friend to Elgin, to visit Karen at the home of Sugar Nellie/Funky Kits, spent loads, but have loads of nice new goodies to play with now.
Anyway just wanted to let you all know over HERE at split coast stampers, we've just opened up weekly challenge number 5, where we really want to see your monochrome cards, only rule being you must use a Sugar Nellie image, Karen once again has very kindly put up the prize for the winner, the lucky crafter can select any three Sugar Nellie Stamps from the Funky Kits website, so come on what you waiting for, lets see your creations.
I will be making a card over the weekend and will get it attached to this posting, but its just for fun, as I am going to set these challenges now, I can't win, but heyho, its fun doing them anyway.
Just a quick heads up also, the fantastic new Mangas are now also available on Funky Kits, as are the special grab bags, you get 4 sugar nellie stamps and a few small accessories for the fabby price of £9.99, thats only £2.49 per stamp, but please hurry stock is limited.

Sugar Nellie - SPS Challenge Wk 4

Welcome back girls, Can you believe thats another week almost over, thankfully the weather is really beginning to improve here in the north east of Scotland.
Zoe has really had me scratching my head and pulling my hair out his week with the new challenge over at SPS, she wants to see Clean and simple Cards, well thats so not what I do, but I've had a bash anyway, if you want to see the other cards for this challenge pop over here and join in the fun

Used to make this Clean and Simple (well ok not so simple) card

Image - Karate Luca (an older image) from Sugar Nellie / Funky Kits

Coloured with - Promarkers ( not a lot of them but never the less it's coloured)

Cuttlebug Embossing folder

Cuttlebug and a set of sizzlet dies for the letters.

Anyway its as simple as I could make it, as Adam is eight this year so are so many of his friends, so I might just have to batch make these cards. I like how its turned out even though I have several hairs less than when I started, hopefully you do too.

Thanks for Looking

Sorry for not getting back to finish the previous post I promise I will, currently got a poorly wee one, his asthma has really flared up, and has bee off school, trip to the doctor and a change of inhalers, not much sleep as he's in our bed coughing all night long, thankfully no chest infection at the moment which is usually the case, but I've sneaked an hour to finish this card for the SPLIT COAST STAMPERS SUGAR NELLIE 3rd CHALLENGE, Zoe has been setting us challenges for the last couple of weeks (these are totally sepereate from the Sugar Bowl Challenges) and this week she linked us to a tutorial to make this diagional double pocket card, it is so much easier than you first think, i think it's fab and have used it as a gift voucher card, thanks Zoe, i love it.

To enter pop over to Split Coast Stampers and have a lookie, you must of course use a Sweet Sugar Nellie image.

Heres what I've come up with this week.

As you can see I've attached a I tunes gift card to one of my tags,

Used in making this card
Image - Annie from Leanne Ellis at Sugar Nellie(Funky Kits)
Coloured with - Promarkers
DP - Bo Bunnys a gift of love
Have also used a set of rubber tapestry stamps to stamp around the ineer edges of the two tags.
Ribbon and Bling from my stash (a girls gotta have a bit o bling)
Also used cuttlebug, nestabilities and of course a Martha Stewart border punch.
Anyway thanks for looking and hope you like her.
