Less Is More - Week 3

Good Morning, Tuesday for me means its time to join the fun at Less Is More challenge, I so use to struggle with these types of card, but slowly it is getting easier, and I do mean slowly.....

This week we were given the theme of Spring, well I love spring and I love seeing all the green buds on the trees and the leaves of the plants are beginning to grow back, the only down side is we need to start thinking about getting the lawn mower out, if someone could invent grass that stays lovely and green all year round and doesn't need cut it would be greatly appreciated in this household. LOL.

Anyway heres my take on Spring.............

Used to make this card were

Stamps - A little bit sketchy 2 from Sheena Douglas
Coloured with - Promarkers

That really is it, apart from a small green mount and some faux stitching around the edge, its really that simple for me today.

Although I did struggle with this one, and the Snowdrop card (above) wasn't my first make for this challenge, I had planned to use the Crocus stamp that comes in the same set, but wasn't 100% sure about, so will share it here for you, and see what you think.....

Again the stamp and the sentiment come from the same set as the snowdrops, but for my eye it just wasn't the way I wanted it to be. Used a little bit of stickles to highlight the buds/flowers a little bit here as well.

Anyway I value your opinion, so please let me know what you think, no offence will be taken honest, well unless your another of the muskateers of course. HaHaHa.

Hugs

Both cards are lovely Fiona. I love the Spring too... promise of new beginnings!
With the crocus one...speaking for me personally you understand,if I am positioning an image near the bottom of a card as you have, I would have a similar gap both below and to the side of the image.
I love the sentiment you have used on this one.
As I said, both cards are superb!
See you again next week!

Two lovely cards, I especially love the colours of the crocuses. (I would probably have made it a long slim card and had the image and sentiment side by side.)
